On January 20, President Tran Dai Quang, his wife and a delegation of overseas Vietnamese offered incense to the Hung Kings at the Hung Kings Memorial Area - National Historical and Cultural Park (District 9, Ho Chi Minh City).
This is an activity under the program "Spring Homeland 2017" for overseas Vietnamese on the occasion of returning to their homeland to celebrate the Spring of Dinh Dau 2017, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
At exactly 1:45 p.m. on January 20 (December 23), the President and more than 50 outstanding overseas Vietnamese from all over the world visited the Hung Kings Memorial in Ho Chi Minh City, offered incense to the Hung Kings, and commemorated the contributions of our ancestors in building the country.
The program also aims to strengthen the relationship between Vietnamese people in the country as well as Vietnamese people living and working around the world.

After the incense and flower offering ceremony to the Hung Kings, President Tran Dai Quang and overseas Vietnamese will offer incense to President Ho Chi Minh and participate in the traditional carp release ceremony into the Saigon River.
On the afternoon of January 20, the President will meet with prominent overseas Vietnamese. In the evening of the same day, the President will meet with a large number of overseas Vietnamese returning home to celebrate Tet, wish them a happy new year and beat the drum to open the Spring Festival in the art performance program “Spring Homeland 2017” with the theme “City named after Uncle Ho - Shining Aspiration”.
