The President of Vietnam pays a state visit to China.

At the invitation of President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China, President Truong Tan Sang will pay a state visit to the People's Republic of China from June 19-21. This is President Truong Tan Sang's first state visit to China as President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the first state visit to China by a high-ranking Vietnamese leader after China's new leadership took office.

President Truong Tan Sang's visit is of paramount importance in strengthening political trust and friendly cooperation between the two Parties and States, setting out major directions for the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries to deepen and develop substantively in various fields for the development of both countries, and for peace, stability and development in the region.

During this visit, President Truong Tan Sang will hold talks with President Xi Jinping and meet with other high-ranking Chinese leaders, and visit Guangdong province.

The two sides are expected to sign several agreements and cooperation documents.
