In the cozy home of writer Huu Thinh, Chairman of the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literary and Artistic Associations in Hanoi, President Truong Tan Sang cordially visited and extended New Year greetings to the writer and his family. The President highly appreciated Huu Thinh's significant contributions to the development of Vietnamese literature; emphasizing that Vietnamese literature has continuously innovated and developed over the years. Writers have devoted much effort, research, and creativity, contributing many new works rich in humanistic values; achieving great accomplishments and contributing to the building of Vietnamese people and culture.

The President emphasized that, regardless of the stage of development, literature and art always play a particularly important role. Writers and intellectuals are truly soldiers on the cultural front, possessing the power to motivate and guide society. The President expressed confidence that, entering a new spring, writers and artists in general will continue to create and contribute more actively to the cause of reform and to the comprehensive development of the Party, the State, and the nation.

During his visit to and New Year's greetings to veteran writer Vu Tu Nam, the President was deeply moved by the writer's continued work ethic at the age of 85. Belonging to a rare generation, writer Vu Tu Nam continues to dedicate his energy and intellect to literary works, contributing to the country's situation in general and the lives of artists and writers in particular. Formerly the General Secretary of the Vietnam Writers Association (4th term) and a member of the 9th National Assembly, writer Vu Tu Nam is widely loved by readers for his literary works in various genres, including children's literature, political commentary, and poetry.

The President emphasized that, in order to attract young intellectuals to return to the country to work, along with their patriotic spirit, adequate incentive policies are also needed. Therefore, existing shortcomings in the mechanisms will be studied and resolved so that the country can have talented and dedicated individuals to contribute to national science. The President wished the Professor and the scientists good health and many more contributions to the development of the country.
