On the afternoon of August 14th, at the Presidential Palace, President Truong Tan Sang received the Ambassadors of South Korea and Argentina who came to present their credentials.

Receiving South Korean Ambassador Jun Dae Joo, President Truong Tan Sang congratulated Ambassador Jun Dae Joo, who has lived and worked in Vietnam for 18 years. The President expressed confidence that, with his experience and understanding of Vietnam, Ambassador Jun Dae Joo will have many initiatives to promote the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The President expressed his pleasure at the continuous development of relations between the two countries over the past years.
South Korea is currently Vietnam's second-largest bilateral ODA donor and fourth-largest investor. Both sides are continuing to promote various measures to further boost economic, trade, and investment cooperation. Furthermore, the Vietnamese community in South Korea and the Korean community in Vietnam are roughly equal in size (approximately over 120,000 people each). These communities serve as bridges, contributing to enhanced understanding and friendly relations between the people of the two countries.
Ambassador Jun Dae Joo of South Korea expressed his pleasure and honor at being assigned to work in Vietnam, a country he considers his second home. The Ambassador affirmed that South Korea wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in all aspects and emphasized that during his time in Vietnam, he will do his utmost to contribute to enhancing cooperative relations between the two countries.
Receiving Argentine Ambassador Claudio Ricardo Gutierrez, President Truong Tan Sang expressed his pleasure that in recent years, multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Argentina has developed positively, especially the successful visit of President Cristina Femández de Kirchner to Vietnam earlier this year, which will further promote relations between the two countries, bringing practical benefits to the common development of both sides.
The President thanked President Cristina Femández de Kirchner for the invitation to visit Argentina and suggested that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries arrange the visit at a suitable time.
The President affirmed that the State and Government of Vietnam will create the best possible conditions for Ambassador Claudio Ricardo Gutierrez to complete his term of office and make a positive contribution to the friendly and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Claudio Ricardo Gutierrez affirmed that, in its foreign policy, Argentina values its relationship with Vietnam, considering it one of its important partners in the region. The Ambassador expressed his commitment to making every effort during his time in Vietnam to contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.
