The President of Vietnam receives the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia.

On January 4th, at the Presidential Palace, President Truong Tan Sang received Mr. Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Cambodia, and the Cambodian Ministry of Interior delegation who were visiting and working in Vietnam.

Congratulating the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs on his visit to Vietnam, President Truong Tan Sang expressed his pleasure at noting that, despite many changes in the world and the region, Cambodia has remained a country that maintains stability and socio-economic growth. Through the Deputy Prime Minister, the President conveyed his warm regards to the King of Cambodia and the leaders of the Cambodian Party and State.

The President highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between the Cambodian Ministry of Interior and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, and expressed confidence that the contents of the agreement signed between the leaders of the two sides would create a foundation for better fulfillment of the entrusted tasks.

The President affirmed that the leaders of the Party, State, and ministries of Vietnam have created favorable conditions for the visit and work of the Cambodian Ministry of Interior delegation to be smooth and successful. The President wished the upcoming general election in Cambodia great success.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs of Cambodia, on behalf of the Cambodian Ministry of Home Affairs, expressed profound gratitude to President Truong Tan Sang and the leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State for facilitating the successful visit and work of the delegation. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the traditional relationship between the Cambodian Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, under the skillful leadership of the leaders of the two countries, is developing well.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security for its close cooperation in human resource training; and expressed confidence that in 2013, crime prevention and security maintenance between the two countries would be effective thanks to the signed agreements between the two sectors. Expressing his pleasure at visiting Vietnam on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the signing of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed his commitment to continue working with the leaders of the Vietnamese Public Security sector to cultivate and promote the friendly relations between the two countries.
