The APEC CEO Summit will open this afternoon in Da Nang. President Tran Dai Quang will attend and deliver an important speech at the conference.The CEO Summit will last until October 10, with 15 sessions expected to include leaders of countries, organizations, and famous businesses around the world.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte will deliver a speech on November 9. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled to speak on November 10.

The 29th APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM) began its first day today. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh and Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh co-chaired the meeting and will hold a press conference after the event.

Also today, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will arrive in Hanoi for an official visit to Vietnam on November 8 and 9. Mr. Trudeau will then travel to Da Nang to attend activities during the APEC summit week.

The APEC Voices of the Future Forum (VOF) entered its fourth day, scheduled to end on November 10.

The plane carrying the Philippine delegation to Vietnam to attend APEC is expected to land at Da Nang airport on the same day.

Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the East wind zone, Da Nang is forecast to have moderate to heavy rain on November 8. From November 9, rain in the Central region will gradually decrease.

The APEC Summit Week is the final and most important activity of APEC 2017. It is estimated that about 12,000 - 14,000 delegates from 21 member economies will participate, including 2,000 official delegates and 5,000 businesses.

During the first two days of APEC week, many important events such as the APEC Concluding Senior Officials' Meeting (CSOM), the Vietnam Business Summit (VBS), and the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Meeting took place.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke at VBS on November 7, emphasizing three orientations that Vietnam is committed to implementing to create a favorable investment environment and successfully integrate in the new period:institutional reform, promoting startups and tax reduction.
