President Tran Dai Quang: Nghe An's tradition is priceless

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 15, Comrade Tran Dai Quang - Politburo member, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam visited and offered flowers and incense at Kim Lien Relic Site, King Mai Hac De Temple, Memorial Site of late General Secretary Le Hong Phong and presented gifts to poor households and families with meritorious services.

Accompanying him were comrades: Dao Viet Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Office of the President; Ho Duc Phoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, State Auditor General; Dao Hong Lan - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Lieutenant General Do Can - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Tran Thi Hong An - Vice President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and comrades in the President's working delegation.

On the side of Military Region 4, there were comrades: Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 4; Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Military Region 4.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

President Tran Dai Quang and his delegation respectfully offered incense, flowers, and memorial gifts, expressing their infinite gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of our Party and people, national liberation hero - world cultural celebrity.

In memory of him, President Tran Dai Quang wrote in the memorial book at Kim Lien Relic Site: "...We vow to study and follow Uncle Ho's moral example, ideology, and style, constantly train, strive, and actively contribute to the cause of building and firmly defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland."

President Tran Dai Quang and his delegation also respectfully offered incense, flowers, and memorial offerings, expressing their infinite gratitude for the cause of national liberation and national protection of King Mai Hac De at King Mai Temple, Van Dien Commune, Nam Dan District.

Also this morning, President Tran Dai Quang visited and offered flowers and incense to commemorate the late General Secretary Le Hong Phong and left his autograph in the memorial book at the Memorial Site in Hung Thong Commune, Hung Nguyen District. At the relics, President Tran Dai Quang also presented gifts and New Year wishes to officials and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017.

President Tran Dai Quang also presented 100 gifts to 100 poor households and Agent Orange victims in Nam Giang and Nam Linh communes, Nam Dan district at the Nam Giang commune headquarters and presented gifts to 2 communes.

Speaking to officials and people, the President reported on some highlights of our country's fields in the past year. In particular, the macro-economy has been basically stable, social security has been increasingly improved, health and education have also seen many positive changes; national defense and security have always been maintained, foreign affairs have achieved many great achievements in many fields, and integration has become increasingly deeper...

“Our country’s position is increasingly enhanced in the international arena. These are great victories of great historical significance, creating important premises and conditions for us to continue striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress,” the President emphasized.

Comrade Tran Dai Quang also expressed his joy that in recent years, Nghe An has had many positive developments in all aspects, which demonstrates the great efforts and consensus of the ethnic people of Nghe An province, including Nam Dan district, which has increasingly implemented Uncle Ho's instructions to build Nghe An to develop more and more.

Excited about the important achievements that have been made in recent times, including those of Nghe An province and Nam Dan district. However, according to the President, our country still faces many difficulties, including the rate of poor households, policy families, those affected by Agent Orange, and the consequences of war.

“These are issues that must be focused on and resolved better and better because our goal is to build a country with rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization; so that everyone can have a prosperous and happy life, and every family can have a stable life,” the President affirmed.

The President welcomed the leaders of Nghe An province, Nam Dan district, mass organizations and philanthropists for their great concern and practical actions to help families with meritorious services and poor households. This is a beautiful feature in the cultural tradition of our nation that needs to be maintained and promoted.

To build Nghe An to become more and more prosperous and beautiful, fulfilling Uncle Ho's wish, President Tran Dai Quang hopes that the leaders of Nghe An province, Nam Dan district, and all the people will work together to strive and try to find more and more creative ways of doing things.

Restructuring the economy, shifting the economy to suit the characteristics and advantages of our homeland, district, and commune; actively applying scientific and technological advances to production to improve product quality, increase labor productivity, increase income to achieve higher efficiency, contributing to building our homeland and country to become increasingly prosperous.

“I think the tradition of Nghe An and Nam Dan is priceless. This is a great strength and an important resource. It is also the driving force that pushes us to do more, promising to achieve better results. It is the tradition of this sacred land, a land of talented people, a revolutionary tradition, and the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh,” the President emphasized.

On that basis, the President hopes that the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province will promote the traditions of their homeland, continue to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, promptly seize opportunities and advantages to build their homeland and country to become increasingly prosperous and beautiful.

The President also hopes that the leaders of the province, district and commune will continue to pay attention to and take care of the lives of ethnic minorities; especially taking care of health, ensuring education, employment and an increasingly better life; doing well the patriotic emulation movements, the whole people protecting national security, fighting against social evils, backward customs, building a cultural lifestyle...

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017, President Tran Dai Quang sent his warmest sentiments and best wishes to the people of Nghe An province: New Year, new faith and new victory.

Also this morning, President Tran Dai Quang visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Sau in Block 13, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City and war invalid Dang Van Than, 91% disabled in Hung Hoa Commune, Vinh City. The President kindly inquired about their health and sent his best New Year wishes to the families.
