President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the Party and State always care about and protect dynamic, creative cadres who dare to think and act for the common good. At the same time, strictly handle cadres who have thoughts of retreat, avoidance, fear of responsibility, and want to be safe.

On the afternoon of June 28, President Vo Van Thuong and the National Assembly delegation of Da Nang city attended a meeting with voters to report the results of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the meeting, voters were interested in many hot issues such as: Anti-corruption and negativity work; lack of medicine and medical supplies; increasing electricity prices; issues regarding mechanisms and support for non-professional staff and poor households...

Sharing with voters, President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the fight against corruption and negativity is being persistently carried out by the Party and State with high political determination from the Central to local levels with the idea of not stopping, not resting, and having no forbidden zones, regardless of who it is.

According to the President, previously, only those directly involved in corruption were punished, but now the agencies will also punish the responsibilities of leaders who do not manage closely enough to allow subordinates to violate, affecting the state budget and losing the people's trust.

President Vo Van Thuong shared at the meeting with voters.

“In addition to fighting, we are very active in prevention. After each incident, inspection, case, or related handling of violations, there are instructions to discuss the legal mechanism, simply put, to review and plug the loopholes in the mechanism so that degraded officials and civil servants do not have the conditions to take advantage of it for their own benefit…”, the President emphasized.

The President also said that the Party and State will always care for and protect dynamic, creative cadres and leaders who dare to think and act for the common good. At the same time, strictly handle cadres who have the mindset of retreating, avoiding, fearing responsibility, wanting to be safe, and doing nothing.

Regarding the electricity sector, the President said that the Central Government will take this very seriously in the coming time. There are currently two directions, one is to check the policies and responsibilities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and will soon notify the people.

“The second direction is to inspect EVN. For now, the Prime Minister has assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to conduct the inspection. Voters should not worry that assigning the Ministry of Industry and Trade to conduct the inspection will not be objective, will not handle the matter thoroughly, or will be overlooked. That is not the case. If the Ministry of Industry and Trade does not take its work seriously, it will be inspected,” the President emphasized.

Regarding the issue of medicine and medical supplies, President Vo Van Thuong said that recently, the relevant agencies have made many efforts to overcome and handle the issue. The National Assembly and the Government have also actively considered and directed ministries and agencies to remove obstacles in the procurement of medicine and medical supplies for the people. However, the issue has only been resolved initially, not fundamentally, and there is still a shortage of medicine and medical supplies.

"I agree with the voters' opinions, we have only made initial progress. There are still shortages here and there. Some medicines must be purchased at high prices, not covered by health insurance, some medicines require a few days of waiting. Some people even die unjustly because the medicines cannot be delivered on time," said the President.

The President believes that this problem will soon be resolved to ensure people's health care. "There are stages in the development process, operating under certain mechanisms and guidance, but when we discover negatives, connections, and sharing, we have not promptly re-established an open, transparent, fair, and public mechanism, causing such local delays. I believe that this problem will soon be resolved to create the best conditions for the people," the President affirmed.
