Speaker of the National Assembly visits South Korea and Myanmar.

On the morning of July 21st, a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly, led by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, departed Hanoi for official visits to South Korea and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from July 21st to 26th, 2013, at the invitation of Mr. Kang Chang-hee, Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea, and Mr. Khin Aung Myint, Chairman of the Upper House and Chairman of the Federal Assembly of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Accompanying National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on his official visits to South Korea and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly: Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Tran Van Hang; Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council Ksor Phuoc; Chairman of the National Assembly's Science, Technology and Environment Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group Phan Xuan Dung; Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Nguyen Van Giau; and Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc.

The delegation also included members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and National Assembly deputies of the 13th term: Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chairman of the Vietnamese Subcommittee in the Vietnam-Myanmar Joint Committee Cao Duc Phat, and Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh.

Also joining the delegation were the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam-Myanmar Parliamentary Friendship Group, Nguyen Manh Tien; the Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Nguyen Thanh Hoa; the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tay Ninh Province, and a member of the Vietnam-Myanmar Parliamentary Friendship Group, Le Minh Trong; the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thua Thien-Hue Province and a member of the Vietnam-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group, Dong Huu Mao; the Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Thuan Province and a member of the Vietnam-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group, Nguyen Bac Viet; and the National Assembly delegate from Hai Phong City, member of the Economic Committee, and a member of the Vietnam-Myanmar Parliamentary Friendship Group, Nguyen Van Binh.

In the host countries, the delegation also included the Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea, Tran Trong Toan, and the Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Pham Xuan Dung.
