National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrives in the Kingdom of Sweden
On the morning of April 6 (local time), the plane carrying the President of the National Assembly and the high-ranking delegation landed at Arlanda International Airport, Stockholm.
At the invitation of President of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin, on the morning of April 6 (local time), National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan led a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to Arlanda International Airport, Stockholm, to begin an official friendship visit to the Kingdom of Sweden.

Welcoming the delegation at the airport were Deputy Secretary General of the Swedish Parliament Claes Martensson, Director General of the Department of International Relations of the Swedish Parliament Ann-Louise Mansson, Director General/Director of the State Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Klas Molin and protocol officers of the Swedish Parliament. Also welcoming the delegation were Vietnamese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden Doan Thi Phuong Dung and officers of the Vietnamese Embassy, representatives of overseas Vietnamese in Sweden.

In recent years, economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries have continuously grown, with turnover in 2016 reaching over 1.2 billion USD. Sweden currently has 53 effective projects with a registered capital of 93.7 million USD, ranking 43rd out of 116 countries and territories investing in Vietnam. Many large Swedish corporations have been present in Vietnam such as Ericsson, ABB, IKEA, Electrolux, etc.
