National Assembly Chairman receives leaders of Korean corporations

Vietnam strongly supports and creates favorable conditions for Korean investors to invest in Vietnam.

During his visit to South Korea, on the morning of July 22, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received leaders of several leading economic groups in the country and leaders of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam creates all favorable conditions for Korean investors and hopes that Korean economic groups will increase investment and business, as well as technology transfer and training of high-quality human resources for Vietnam.

At the meeting with the leaders of the Korea Telecommunications Group and Samsung Group, one of the leading economic groups in Korea, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung welcomed the two groups in particular and Korean economic groups in general for their active investment and trade activities in Vietnam. The activities of Korean economic groups, including Samsung, are not only important in the field of economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, contributing to the common prosperity of the two countries, but also a solid bridge, the basis for the increasingly consolidated and developed strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Korea.

Samsung Group Chairman Kim Jae-kwon and Korea Telecom Corporation Chairman and CEO Lee Suk-chae thanked the Vietnamese Government, ministries and sectors for their attention and support in creating favorable conditions for the Group to invest and expand production. Samsung Group has invested in building Samsung's 7th largest mobile phone factory in Yen Phong Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province, with a registered capital of 670 million USD, employing 18,000 Vietnamese workers. Recently, Samsung has started construction of its second high-tech complex in Yen Binh Industrial Park, Thai Nguyen Province with a capital of up to 3.2 billion USD. Meanwhile, Korea Telecom Corporation has fully prepared the necessary conditions in terms of finance and equipment to invest in high-end hotel and resort projects in the two provinces of Quang Ninh and Hoa Binh of Vietnam.

National Assembly Chairman receives leader of Samsung Group

Samsung Group Chairman Kim Jae-kwon said that he will increase investment to make Vietnam the largest producer of phones and cameras in the world. Samsung Group hopes that the Vietnamese Government and National Assembly will continue to support and create favorable conditions to expand the scale of the Research and Development Center in Vietnam to attract and train a talented workforce to meet the Group's production needs and for the development of Vietnam.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung affirmed that Vietnam strongly supports and creates favorable conditions for Korean investors to invest in Vietnam, and at the same time encourages Vietnamese investors to invest in Korea. The difficulties in administrative procedures of Korean investors will be removed and resolved by the Government, National Assembly and Ministries and Branches of Vietnam. National Assembly Chairman Hung believes that investment projects of Samsung and Korean economic groups in Vietnam will operate effectively, develop long-term and sustainably.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung highly appreciated Samsung's reputation in the international arena and in investment and development in Vietnam; hoping that the enterprises implementing large projects in Vietnam will achieve efficiency. The National Assembly and the Government of Vietnam fully support Korean investors. Investors not only contribute to economic development but also to the development of strategic cooperation between the two countries.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly and Government will actively coordinate with the National Assembly and Government of the Republic of Korea to create a favorable investment and trade environment for businesses of the two countries, including Samsung Group and the Korean Telecommunications Group, to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation.

On the same afternoon, as scheduled, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung will meet with Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Chung Hong-won and hold talks with National Assembly Chairman Khang Chang-hee and visit the Korea Development Institute and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology./.
