National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin
On the afternoon of September 10 (local time), at the Kremlin Palace, Moscow (Russian Federation), National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The meeting took place in a friendly and frank atmosphere.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man conveyed the greetings of General Secretary, President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to President Putin. He also informed about the results of the visit and discussed cooperation between the two countries and the two National Assemblies in the coming time.

President Putin thanked and invited General Secretary and President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit the Russian Federation at an appropriate time.
President Putin highly appreciated the significance and results of the visit by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly; suggested that the legislative bodies of the two countries continue to strengthen parliamentary cooperation, contributing to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in a practical and effective manner; affirmed that he would support the legislative bodies of the two countries in implementing the signed cooperation agreements.

Previously, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that Vietnam is forever grateful for the valuable support and wholehearted help of the people of the former Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation.
Despite the complicated international situation, the relationship between the two countries continues to be strengthened through high-level delegation exchanges from both sides. Most recently, President Putin's state visit left a deep impression on the Vietnamese people.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that the Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation support strengthening cooperation between the two parties, as well as with other major political parties of the Russian Federation.

Appreciating the contributions of the Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the contents discussed at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man recognized that despite many difficulties and challenges, the two sides are making every effort to find ways to resolve them and preserve the good traditional relationship.
Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov assessed Vietnam's achievements and development results as one of the successful models for other countries to learn from.
The leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation affirmed that, with affection and responsibility, they will strive to maintain the good traditional friendship with Vietnam; maintain close cooperation and develop relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people - close friends and reliable partners of the Russian Federation.
Receiving representatives of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Russian Veterans Association, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man was happy and moved to meet again close friends who love and are attached to Vietnam and veterans who did not fear difficulties and hardships, and were willing to sacrifice their lives to help Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland in the past.
Representatives of the two Associations also shared their fond feelings and unforgettable memories during their time as experts, standing shoulder to shoulder with Vietnam in the struggle for national independence, and affirmed that they always consider Vietnam as their country and homeland.
