In Vietnam's overall relations with the Latin American region, the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba has many highlights and imprints. It is expected that National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will meet and exchange with the highest leaders and leaders of several ministries and sectors of Cuba.

Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha said that the Cuban side invited National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to speak at the first session of the new National Assembly.

You also said that since the founding of the socialist country, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is the first foreign leader to speak at the opening session of the new National Assembly of Cuba," the Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee informed.

Cuba also arranged for the delegation to visit economic establishments cooperating with Vietnam. It is expected that forums on trade and investment promotion to promote cooperation between the two countries will be held, thereby contributing to attracting and promoting Vietnamese investment in Cuba, contributing to solving difficulties in the current period.

Notably, also during this visit, Cuba expressed its respect and special affection for President Ho Chi Minh when it decided to rename the Peace Park in the capital Havana to Ho Chi Minh Park.

During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation will also meet and exchange with Cuban friendship organizations to strengthen people-to-people diplomacy, strengthen the bond and solidarity between the people of the two countries and the young generations of the two countries. The National Assembly Chairman and the delegation will attend the opening ceremony of a number of Vietnamese cultural events in the capital city of Havana and meet with the Vietnamese community in Cuba.

Currently, the traditional solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba continue to be promoted and strengthened through all channels in a more practical and substantial manner, in which party relations play a guiding role, consolidating trust and the political foundation for the development of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The Vietnam - Cuba Trade Agreement took effect from April 2020 with many new trade incentive commitments, creating favorable conditions for bilateral import and export of goods.
