President Xi Jinping says China 'must rely on people' to fight pneumonia
Faced with the complicated developments of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) pneumonia epidemic, on January 27, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that the country must rely on the people to defeat the epidemic.

According to Xinhua, the Chinese leader instructed grassroots party organizations, party members and officials to unite the people to implement the decisions of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and win the battle against the epidemic. He stressed that ensuring the interests of the people in preventing and controlling the epidemic should be given the highest priority.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang asked authorities to speed up the construction of field hospitals to treat infected patients in Wuhan city.
Speaking while inspecting the construction site of a field hospital in the city at the center of the epidemic, Premier Li Keqiang urged construction units to race against time to complete the project on schedule, ensuring it is a "safe oasis" for patients.
In Wuhan, two field hospitals are currently under construction - Huoshenshan Hospital with 700-1,000 beds and Leishenshan Hospital with 1,300-1,500 beds.
These two emergency medical facilities are expected to be operational on February 3 and February 5, respectively.
