President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visits and encourages workers at the construction site of 500Kv transmission line project, circuit 3
(Baonghean.vn) - The delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vietnam Electricity Group, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Labor Federation visited and encouraged union members and workers constructing the 500kV circuit 3 power line project, making efforts to energize the project before June 30, 2024.
On the morning of April 22, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and encouraged workers at the construction site of the Project.500kV line circuit 3(section through Nghe An province).
Also joining the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.
The activity is in response to the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure and practicing thrift and combating waste" of the Prime Minister and the Joint Plan between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group to launch an emulation campaign at the construction site of the 500KV line project, circuit 3 from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).
The working delegation listened to reports on the construction process and site progress. After 52 days of launching the emulation movement at the General Confederation level with the theme "5 bests", up to now, the project is implementing simultaneous foundation construction along the entire route at 1,177/1,177 locations (100%); completed casting foundations at 512/1,177 locations; handed over 221/1,177 steel column locations; completed erection of 79/1,177 steel columns; and is erecting 62/1,177 steel columns.
Recognizing the efforts to overcome all difficulties and join hands of workers' teams, leaders of units require each collective and individual to continue competing with the determination to complete the project in June 2024.
More than 2 months of rushing to the finish line, in weather conditions that are starting to enter the hot season, with unusual storms and rains, construction units need to synchronously deploy items on the construction site, encourage and take care of the team of officers, engineers and construction workers.
The 500kV power line project passing through Nghe An province is about 82.33km long. Up to now, the provinceNghe Anmobilized and handed over all 202/202 pile foundation positions to the investor for construction implementation.
At the construction site of column 355, package 37 (Nghi Kieu commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An) of the 500kV line 3, Quang Trach - Quynh Luu route, the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group presented 3 gifts to 3 units (Quang Trach - Quynh Luu Project Steering Committee under the National Power Transmission Corporation; Frontline Committee No. 4 - Northern Power Project Management Board and Construction Contractor Song Da 11 Company), each gift worth 70 million VND.
Also at the program, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Labor Federation and the Nghi Loc District Labor Federation also presented practical gifts to construction workers at the site.
Receiving the attention of organizations, authorities at all levels, the team of workers, engineers and laborers at the site expressed gratitude, excitement and promised to complete the project on schedule.
The 500kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach to Pho Noi is an urgent and important project for the national energy security strategy, launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with Vietnam Electricity Group to compete for "5 bests" - 120 days and nights to the finish line (from March 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024).

Accordingly, the specific competition goals are: Complete foundation casting on March 30, 2024; Complete pole erection on April 30, 2024; Complete wire pulling on June 28, 2024; Complete acceptance and energization on June 30, 2024 in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction.
