Chinese President to visit US in late September
According to Xinhua, on September 16, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to the United States will reinforce the Beijing leader's view that peace will benefit both countries while conflict will harm both sides.
Speaking at a forum organized by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Yi added that President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States from September 22-25 will focus on enhancing trust between the two countries, while seeking to address concerns from US officials that Beijing and Washington are at odds over issues such as international relations and the Asia-Pacific regional order.

“This visit is beneficial to the friendly cooperation between China and the United States as well as to the peace and development of the whole world. It will certainly be an important milestone in China-US relations,” Mr. Wang Yi emphasized.
It is expected that, within the framework of his visit to the US, Mr. Xi Jinping will also attend summits celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations at its headquarters in New York from September 26-28./.
