Chinese President to visit US in late September
According to THX, on September 16, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to the US will reinforce the Beijing leader's view that peace will benefit both countries while conflict will harm both sides.
Speaking at a forum organized by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Yi added that President Xi Jinping's visit to the US, from September 22-25, will focus on enhancing trust between the two countries, while seeking to address concerns from US officials that Beijing and Washington are at odds with each other in resolving issues such as international relations and the Asia-Pacific regional order.

“This visit is beneficial to the Sino-US friendly cooperation as well as world peace and development. It will certainly be an important milestone in Sino-US relations,” Mr. Wang Yi emphasized.
It is expected that, within the framework of his visit to the US, Mr. Xi Jinping will also attend summits celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations at its headquarters in New York from September 26-28./.
