Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung visited and presented gifts to families with revolutionary contributions in Nghi Loc district.
(Baonghean.vn) - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of war invalids and sick soldiers in the struggle for national independence and freedom.
On the afternoon of July 20, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee led a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to offer flowers and incense at Nghi Loc District Martyrs' Cemetery and visit and present gifts to families with revolutionary contributions.
The delegation included leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, and Nghi Loc district.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at Nghi Loc District Martyrs' Cemetery. The cemetery is located in Nghi Thinh Commune and currently manages 1,436 martyrs' graves, of which 734 have information and 702 have no information.



Since its construction, Nghi Loc District Martyrs Cemetery has received 7 batches of 564 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died on the Lao battlefield for burial.
In the dry season of 2022 - 2023 alone, the Collection Team of the Provincial Military Command searched for and recovered the remains of 96 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos and buried them at the Nghi Loc District Martyrs' Cemetery.


Laying wreaths and offering incense, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation respectfully bowed, expressing their deep remembrance, gratitude, and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fought bravely and made noble sacrifices for the cause of national liberation and unification, for the noble international duty.
Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung and the delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung (born in 1943), residing in Hamlet 2, Nghi Thach Commune, Nghi Loc District. Mr. Hung is a 3/4 war invalid, infected with level 3 chemical toxins.


In October 1963, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung joined the army and was wounded in battle in Binh Dinh province in May 1971. Mr. Hung and his wife had 4 children, 2 of whom were past working age, had poor health, and the family's finances were difficult, and their lives depended on Mr. Hung's allowance.
The delegation also visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa (born in 1954), a war invalid, residing in Truong Son hamlet, Nghi Truong commune, Nghi Loc district.


Mr. Hoa enlisted in June 1972, fell ill in August 1986, and lost 61% of his working capacity. He had 5 children, he was in poor health, his wife was a farmer, so the family's finances were extremely difficult.
At the families he visited, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung expressed his deep gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of the veterans in the struggle for national independence and freedom.


Kindly inquiring about the health and life of those who have contributed to the cause, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the war invalids and sick soldiers will live happily and healthily, continue to set good examples and be a strong spiritual support for their children and grandchildren, and continue to contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also requested the Party Committee and the government of Nghi Loc district to continue to do a good job of gratitude; care for the lives of families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution, thereby compensating for the sacrifices and losses that they have contributed to the Fatherland.
