Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 16 medical staff supporting Da Nang in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic

On the afternoon of September 26, the Department of Health held a meeting with the delegation of Nghe An Health sector officials who had participated in supporting field hospitals in Da Nang City and had successfully completed their mission.

End of July 2020,Covid-19 epidemicoutbreak in Da Nang. Responding to the request of Da Nang City, with the spirit of sharing, mutual support, and mutual love, the Health Department of Nghe An province launched a call for medical staff to join in reinforcing Da Nang City. In just a short time, many doctors and technicians from hospitals volunteered to go to the epidemic area.

From August 20, 2020 to September 12, 2020, the delegation of officials included16 doctors and techniciansRepresentatives of Nghe An province's health sector directly participated in supporting Da Nang city at field hospitals such as: Lung Hospital, Hoa Vang Medical Center.

After the Covid-19 epidemic situation in Da Nang stabilized, the medical staff of the province returned and completed the 14-day quarantine period as prescribed. At the meeting, Specialist Doctor II Trinh Xuan Nam - Provincial General Hospital, Head of the Working Group said that he was very honored and proud to be one of 16 provincial health staff supporting Da Nang City to participate in supporting the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

“That is the morality, responsibility but also the sentiment of a son of Nghe An towards the health sector and the people of Da Nang City” - Doctor Trinh Xuan Nam added: Besides the professional mark, the working group left many beautiful feelings for the health sector staff and the people during 24 days in Da Nang City.

Speaking at the meeting,Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committeecommend the sense of responsibility and congratulate the delegation of Nghe An Health sector for excellently completing the assigned tasks.

Highlighting the developments of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, domestically and in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the proactive, positive, urgent and timely actions of departments, branches, units and localities in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic in recent times.

Especially the proactive and drastic participation of the health sector, units and teams of doctors, nurses and staff directly participating in epidemic prevention and control at units in the province. "These staff deserve to be called soldiers on the epidemic prevention front" - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

Regarding the 16 officials in the working delegation, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung said that although these officials had to endure many risks and pressures; some officials even sacrificed their personal happiness for the health of the people, they still demonstrated a very high sense of responsibility. "I appreciate that spirit, it is also the spirit of sharing of the people of Nghe An province with the people of Da Nang city" - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also expressed his gratitude to the families and relatives of the 16 medical staff who shared and sacrificed for the common task.

Emphasizing that the Covid-19 epidemic situation is still complicated and unpredictable, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the provincial Health sector to continue to proactively advise the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and provincial leaders on epidemic prevention and control work.

At the same time, it is hoped that after the quarantine period ends, the 16 officers in the delegation will continue to promote their existing sense of responsibility, improve their professional capacity, and successfully complete all assigned tasks, especially in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Recognizing the achievements of the working group, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed a Decision to award Certificates of Merit to 16 health sector officials for their outstanding achievements in supporting field hospitals in Da Nang City.
