Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee: Create conditions and support investors with specific actions and deeds

In February, all sectors and levels focused on organizing spring and Tet activities for the people; especially focusing on taking care of Tet for the poor, with 100% of poor households receiving Tet gifts.

At the same time, all levels and sectors also focused on directing farmers to harvest the winter crop and deploy production for the 2019 Spring crop; especially successfully organizing the Spring 2019 Investor Meeting Conference with 13 projects with a total investment of 7,703 billion VND being granted investment policy approval/investment registration certificates and 18 projects signing investment cooperation memorandums of understanding with a total estimated investment of 14,274 billion VND.

Budget revenue in February, as of February 24, was 677 billion VND; estimated budget revenue in the first two months of 2019 reached 2,375 billion VND, reaching 17.6% of the estimate, up 32.4% over the same period in 2018.

At the meeting, some members of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of some departments and branches raised a number of key tasks in March 2019 and many difficulties, problems and shortcomings that the Provincial People's Committee needs to focus on resolving.

Accordingly, the issues that need to be resolved are obstacles and difficulties in the investment project of phase II of the Provincial General Hospital; completing the conditions for serving the Vinh - Bangkok flight route when it is put into stable operation; finding solutions for production and business enterprises in the area to open tax declarations to increase the province's budget revenue...

Speaking on this content, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy emphasized that in March, all levels and sectors are required to continue to focus on and improve the quality of public service performance and administrative discipline of officials and civil servants; stick to immediate work and implement resolutely; especially stick to the issued socio-economic growth scenario and the plans of each sector for implementation.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the 5 departments and branches that are the permanent chair of the 5 working groups of the province, including the Department of Industry and Trade, Finance, Tourism, Planning - Investment, Agriculture - Rural Development to take part in directing and urging the key areas and spearheads, creating faster and stronger changes.

For the Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center, it is necessary to follow up with enterprises that have been granted investment registration certificates and enterprises that have signed investment cooperation memorandums at the recent meeting with investors to accompany and remove difficulties to soon realize investment projects; at the same time, follow up with investors and enterprises that participated in the conference but have not yet had projects granted certificates or signed contracts to continue promoting investment.

In addition to the responsibility of the Provincial Investment Promotion Center, Chairman Thai Thanh Quy also requested all levels and sectors to direct, create all conditions and provide maximum support for investors to implement projects in practice with specific actions and deeds.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that all levels and sectors should continue to direct spring crop production, afforestation, restructuring the agricultural sector, and building new rural areas, including proactively detecting diseases early to localize and handle them; and strengthening measures to prevent revenue loss and tax arrears.
