Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee: Gathering forces, promoting the strength of great national unity

On the morning of November 21, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a national online conference to disseminate and implement the Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term 2019 - 2024). Unify 5 action programs

With the title "Promoting the strength of great national unity, improving the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization", the comrades representing the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front passed the action programs according to the Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term 2019 - 2024) to the delegates attending the conference.

Accordingly, there are 5 action programs that have been agreed upon. Specifically: Program 1 includes propaganda, mobilization, gathering all classes of people; consolidating, strengthening, and promoting the strength of great national unity to build and protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam; Program 2 includes mobilizing people to compete in creative labor, successfully implementing economic, cultural, and social development goals, maintaining national defense and security; Program 3 includes implementing democracy, representing, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; supervising and criticizing society, preventing and combating corruption and waste, participating in building a clean and strong Party and government; Program 4 includes strengthening international solidarity, expanding people's foreign affairs activities; and Program 5 includes strengthening the organization, innovating content and methods, improving the effectiveness of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's operations, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

To effectively and consistently implement the proposed action programs, the Congress Resolution clearly stated the key objectives that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels needs to implement. Specifically, it is necessary to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; strengthen the consolidation of political alliances, build and firmly consolidate the great national unity bloc; implement democracy, social supervision and criticism, fight against corruption and waste, practice thrift, participate in building a clean and strong Party and government.

Along with that, it is necessary to promote the spirit of creative emulation, socio-economic development, accelerate industrialization, modernization and international integration, maintain peace, firmly protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, for a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

Innovation in operating methods in the new era

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man affirmed that during the past term, it has gradually promoted its role on the basis of strong innovation in content and methods of operation, following the motto of being close to the people, respecting the people, listening to opinions and recommendations of all classes of people.

Since then, we have proactively and responsibly implemented our rights and duties in the new situation. The results achieved have contributed to continuously strengthening the great national unity bloc in economic - cultural - social development and ensuring national security and defense.

After the conference, he requested that the Fronts at all levels need to carefully study the contents, action programs, and goals of the Resolution of the Congress as well as the spirit of the Resolutions of the 6th and 7th Central Committees of the 12th tenure to innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of regular and close association with the people, for the legitimate interests of the people, focusing strongly on the grassroots.

From there, promptly remove difficulties, obstacles, and shortcomings in the organizational model and operating mechanism to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations; focus on training and fostering a team of Front officials who are dedicated and responsible for their work, especially the team of full-time officials at all levels. Maximize the role of scientists, experts, and outstanding individuals to maximize the role of the people in Party building, government building, and making the country increasingly stronger.
