Viettel Chairman Nguyen Manh Hung officially becomes Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications
Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group Nguyen Manh Hung was appointed by the Secretariat as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The Ministry of Information and Communications has received a decision from the Secretariat appointing Major General Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung was born in 1962 (hometown Bac Ninh), graduated with a degree in Telecommunications in the former Soviet Union, a master's degree in telecommunications in Australia, and a master's degree in business administration from the National Economics University.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung has held the position of Deputy Director of Military Telecommunications Company since June 2000 and Deputy General Director of Viettel Group since January 2010.
On March 1, 2014, he was appointed General Director of the Military Telecommunications Group.
In 2016, Mr. Hung was elected to the 12th Central Committee of the Party.
Last June, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group.
He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2012.
Mr. Hung was one of the first people assigned to Viettel by the Ministry of Defense from its early days (1989).
