Yen Bai Chairman elected as Provincial Party Secretary

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province Pham Thi Thanh Tra was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

This afternoon, Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Committee to elect the positions of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2015-2020 term and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.

Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh attended and directed the conference.

Chairwoman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Pham Thi Thanh Tra was elected with 100% of votes (46/46).

The position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will be elected by the Provincial People's Council to complete personnel in the coming time.

Earlier, in the morning, Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee held conferences to vote on confidence for the positions of Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Council Chairman.

At the meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, 13/13 votes of confidence unanimously recommended Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2015-2020 term, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.

The conference of key provincial officials also met to vote for the positions of Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Council Chairman.

Ms. Tra also received almost absolute votes of confidence (73/74 votes of confidence).

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra was born in 1964 in Nam Yen commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.

Master's degree, advanced political theory.

She has held the following positions: Vice Chairman of Tran Yen District People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of Yen Bai City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee.

Thus, nearly 1 month after Yen Bai Secretary Pham Duy Cuong was shot dead, the province has a new Secretary.
