Focus on improving the quality of cultural titles.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 11th, the Steering Committee for the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement held a conference to summarize the achievements of 2011 and implement tasks for 2012. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Steering Committee, chaired the conference.

In 2011, the Steering Committee members closely monitored the situation at the grassroots level, demonstrating innovation in directing, guiding, and organizing inspection teams to evaluate, rank, and propose awards for the results of the movement to build a cultured lifestyle in districts, cities, and towns. As a result, cultural activities became increasingly in-depth and widespread. The development and acceptance of exemplary models and best practices yielded tangible results. Districts, cities, and towns focused on improving the quality of cultured families, villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, incorporating this into the plan for building and developing cultural life in the 2011-2015 period, and the plan for building and improving the quality of cultured families and hamlets in the 2011-2016 period.

The construction of cultural institutions, the organization of mass cultural and sports activities, and the development of cultural models have been strongly socialized and achieved good results. In 2011, the entire province had 538,486 out of 713,311 households achieving the title of "Cultural Family"; 233 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods were recognized as "Cultural Villages"; and the province had 467 out of 497 cultural houses. The cultural and artistic movement in wards, communes, hamlets, and villages was maintained and developed. Some localities implemented the movement well, such as Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Do Luong, Nghi Loc...

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong – Head of the Steering Committee – emphasized: In 2012, the Steering Committee needs to focus on improving the quality and sustainability of the titles of "cultural family," "cultural village," "cultural hamlet," and "cultural neighborhood." The movement should be linked with the new rural development program. The committee should do a good job of advising on the directives and guidelines of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It should also organize the registration for building "communes that meet the standards of new rural culture"...

On this occasion, the Steering Committee announced several new documents regarding the movement for building a cultured life in residential areas, and standardized the certificate template and reward levels for "Communes with outstanding achievements in the movement for building a cultured life in residential areas".
