Chi Linh Pagoda organizes charity music night to help families in difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of April 10, Chi Linh Pagoda, Xuan Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Thanh Commune to organize a charity music night to raise funds to help the family of Mr. Do Huu Vinh - a household with especially difficult circumstances in the area.

Mr. Do Huu Vinh's family, residing in Tan Xuan hamlet, Xuan Thanh commune, is one of the most disadvantaged in the commune. Mr. Vinh, over 70 years old, used to work as a motorbike taxi driver and wascancerHis wife, Mrs. Viet, who works as a scrap collector to support her husband who has been hospitalized for a long time, also has terminal liver cancer.
One of the two daughters also has thyroid cancer. Currently, the couple is being treated in the emergency room of Nghe An Oncology Hospital. In this situation, Chi Linh Pagoda has organized a music night to call for everyone to join hands to help.
The music night took place in the grounds of Chi Linh Pagoda with the participation of monks, officials of Xuan Thanh commune and many people, Buddhists inside and outside Yen Thanh district. The music night program had the contribution of many artists in Yen Thanh district, Dien Chau district..., bringing to the music night many touching singing, dancing and drama performances.

With the spirit of "helping each other", "love others as you love yourself", atmusic nightHundreds of groups and individuals have contributed directly and indirectly through social networks to help Mr. Vinh's family.
At the end of the concert, the organizers raised 110 million VND in cash. This amount was handed over to the local government representative by Venerable Thich Tue Minh - abbot of Chi Linh pagoda right on stage.
