Hundred-year-old pagoda recognized as provincial relic in Thanh Chuong

Phuc Vien Pagoda in Truong village, Thanh Linh commune was built during the Nguyen Dynasty to worship Buddha. This is a religious structure, a place for spiritual and cultural activities of local people for generations.
Religious activities at the pagoda not only meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people but also help people to be good and unite the community. After hundreds of years of restoration and embellishment, the pagoda still retains many valuable ancient artifacts, such as the Tam The paintings, Chinese documents, sacrificial objects, etc.
With its great historical values, Phuc Vien Pagoda has been recognized by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee as a Provincial Historical Relic under Decision No. 2016/QD - UBND dated May 16, 2017.
Up to now, Thanh Chuong has 548 relics, of which 12 are ranked at national level and 43 are at provincial level.
