Treating hoarseness with white radish
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, fresh white radish has a spicy taste and a cooling nature, with diuretic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory effects, and is used to treat hoarseness.
Besides being a nutritious food, white radish is also a medicinal remedy for common ailments. According to modern medicine, 100g of white radish contains 93.5g of water, 0.06g of protein, 0.1g of fat, and 5.3g of total sugars, mainly easily absorbed sugars (glucose, fructose); essential minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and iron; B vitamins; and various amino acids.

Treatment for cough with phlegm: 1 kg white radish, 1 kg pears, 250 g fresh ginger, 250 g milk, and 250 g honey. Peel and seed the pears. Wash and finely chop the white radish and ginger. Place each ingredient in a cheesecloth and squeeze out the juice separately. Pour the radish and pear juice into a pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened. Then add the ginger juice, milk, and honey, stir well, and bring to a boil again. Once cooled, store in a sealed jar and use as needed, mixing one tablespoon with hot water to drink twice a day.
Treating mouth ulcers: Take 3-5 white radishes, crush them to extract the juice, and use it as a mouthwash. Rinse your mouth for 5-10 minutes each time, 5-7 times a day, for 2-3 days.
Treatment for hoarseness: Take 3 white radishes and 1 fresh ginger root, wash them thoroughly, crush them, and strain the juice to drink. Drink this for 2 days.
