Although his one-month leave to treat gout has ended, Mr. Trinh Xuan Thanh - Provincial Party Committee member and former Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee has not returned to work.

Responding to Thanh Nien newspaper, Mr. Thanh said he had written an application to leave the Party and withdraw from the Executive Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

This morning, answering reporters, Mr. Bui Van Sau - Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee affirmed that he had not yet received Mr. Thanh's application to leave the Party and the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

Mr. Sau also added that it is currently unclear whether Mr. Trinh Xuan Thanh has returned to Hau Giang to work.

Previously, Mr. Trinh Xuan Thanh sent a request to the Standing Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for a one-month leave to treat gout. Mr. Thanh's leave has exceeded 4 days, but he has not yet returned to work in Hau Giang.
