Phuc Lac Pagoda organizes a one-day Buddhist Recitation class
(Baonghean.vn) - This is an activity that Phuc Lac Pagoda has organized and maintained for many years with the aim of cultivating knowledge, strengthening Buddhist beliefs and guiding Buddhists to follow Buddhist teachings.
On March 24, on the occasion of the birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, Phuc Lac Pagoda, Nghi Thach Commune, Nghi Loc District organized a one-day Buddhist recitation class. Attending were many Buddhists in Nghe An Province, under the guidance and teachings of Venerable Thich Tam Thanh (Abbot of the Pagoda) and monks of the pagoda.

Here, the one-day Buddhist recitation class included activities such as instructing Buddhists on the proper conduct in home practice; instructing and practicing the method of walking meditation to recite Buddha's name. In particular, in the afternoon of the same day, Buddhists listened to Venerable Thich Tam Luan (Venerable is a monk of Hoang Phap Pagoda - Ho Chi Minh City) share and instruct on methods to achieve peace and happiness; encourage Buddhists to regularly cultivate Precepts - Concentration - Wisdom to use them as provisions on the path of self-cultivation and learning Buddhism.
At the end of the one-day Buddhist Recitation class, Buddhists attended the Five Hundred Names Ceremony (500 names of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara) and lit candles to commemorate the birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara; organized a procession with candles in hand, offering them to the ancestors at the stupa of Phuc Lac Pagoda.
It is known that this is the first meditation class organized by Phuc Lac Pagoda in 2019. It is expected that the pagoda will organize 8 meditation days corresponding to 8 months of the year to meet the practice needs of Buddhists coming to the pagoda.
