Phuc Thanh Pagoda: Joining hands to provide Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts for the poor.

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 13, 2015 (December 25th of the lunar calendar), Venerable Thich Dinh Tue, abbot of Phuc Thanh Pagoda (Hung Chau - Hung Nguyen), along with Buddhist followers, directly visited, extended New Year greetings, and presented gifts to poor households and families receiving preferential treatment in Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc districts and Vinh City.

The temple distributed 100 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages to poor people and families receiving government assistance. Each package, worth 500,000 VND, included rice, MSG, cooking oil, and cash, thanks to donations from benefactors and philanthropists solicited by Venerable Thich Dinh Tue. Although the gifts were not large, they provided great encouragement, helping the people to celebrate the Year of the Goat 2015 with joy and happiness.
