Man who beat his wife and children during meal has not been prosecuted
The man who beat his wife and children during dinner, NTH, was determined to have intentionally caused injury to another person. However, there were not enough elements to prosecute him criminally.
According to information from Hau Thanh Commune Police, Yen Thanh District, the unit is currently waiting for the results of the personal investigation of Mr. NTH (born in 1989, residing in Hau Thanh Commune) from the professional department of Nghe An Provincial Police to complete the dossier to request the Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee to issue a decision to administratively sanction this person.
Previously, Mr. NTH had intentionally caused injuries to his wife and children, but not to the extent of criminal prosecution.
According to Point a, Clause 5, Article 7, Decree 144/2021/ND-CP of the Government, a person who intentionally causes injury to another person but not to the extent of criminal prosecution may be fined from 5 to 8 million VND.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Sy Quy - Head of Hau Thanh Commune Police said: Based on the level of Mr. NTH's violation, the Commune Police will propose that the Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee issue a decision to fine him 6.5 million VND for his actions.

The incident was determined to have occurred on March 23, but Mr. H.’s wife did not report her husband’s actions to the authorities. However, on March 24, her relatives posted the clip on social media. After the video was posted, it angered the online community and they hoped that the authorities would take serious action against the man.
Hau Thanh Commune Police summoned Mr. NTH (born in 1989), residing in Hau Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, to clarify the incident. At the police station, Mr. H. confessed that due to being drunk and unable to control his behavior, he abused his wife and children. After the incident, the authorities worked with the people involved and took Mr. H.'s wife and children to a medical facility for examination. However, the wife refused to have her health examined.
According to information, Mr. NTH and his wife have been married for many years and have 4 children, of which their youngest child is less than 1 year old.
