In order to commemorate the merits of King Mai and his generals and review the heroic spirit of the uprising to defeat the Northern invaders and build an independent Van An country, while educating the young generation about patriotism and promoting the tourism potential of Nam Dan, this year's King Mai Festival will take place from March 3 to 5 (ie January 13 to 15, At Mui year).

The festival includes activities: Ceremonial and festival parts, in which the festival part is diverse and rich with strong national identity with wrestling, chess, folk singing exchange, "xoi ga" competition, floating flower lanterns...

This year, the King Mai Festival will restore the water procession (from the time of King Mai Hac De). The highlight of this year's King Mai Festival will be the performance by the Central Opera Troupe, recreating the image of King Mai and his soldiers through the play "Mai Hac De" on the 14th night of the lunar calendar at the King Mai Temple by author Nguyen The Ky - Former Secretary of the Nam Dan District Party Committee, currently Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

At the meeting, after listening to the reports of the departments and branches on the preparation work, Chairman of Nam Dan District People's Committee Dinh Xuan Que emphasized: This is a traditional festival of the sacred land of talented people, so the preparation work must be very thoughtful.
