On October 27, a North Korean delegation led by Vice Foreign Minister Sin Hong Chol left for Russia, likely to prepare for a summit between the two countries' leaders.
The visit to Russia by a senior North Korean diplomat comes amid speculation that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un may make an official visit to Russia in the near future.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Kim Jong-un to a formal summit amid stalled denuclearization talks between North Korea and the United States. A diplomatic source in Beijing said the North Korean leader could visit Russia sometime in November.

Speaking at an international security conference in Manama (Bahrain)October 27,Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel al-JubeirSaudi Arabia's law enforcement agencies are working with their Turkish counterparts to investigate Khashoggi's murder, the government said.
Foreign Minister Jubeir affirmed that those involved in the case will be tried in Saudi Arabia and called on the media to wait for the final results of the investigation and avoid incitement.
Meanwhile, Türkiye has officially requested Saudi Arabia to extradite 18 suspects related to the case of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to the country for investigation.
Former Interpol president removed from Chinese CPPCC

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has proposed removing former Interpol President Meng Hongwei from his position as a member of its foreign affairs committee. The decision will be implemented after approval by the CPPCC Standing Committee.
This is the latest step by Beijing in its investigation of the former Interpol president for bribery and other crimes. The CPPCC is an advisory body to China's parliament, and its members do not have the same immunity from prosecution as deputies to the National People's Congress. It is not clear where Meng Hongwei is being held.
Trump may issue executive order to stop migrants at Mexican border

The White House could issue new regulations under an executive order by President Donald Trump aimed at stopping most migrants in the caravan heading from Mexico toward the U.S. border, according to a person familiar with the matter.Politico.
The executive order is expected to target some 7,000 migrants who are walking from Honduras to the southern Mexican city of Tapachula and are trying to reach the United States to escape violence in their home country, one of the world's most violent.

WikiLeaks founder sets conditions for surrender

Lawyer Carlos Poveda, representing Julian Assange, said his client would surrender to British authorities and face a three- to six-month prison sentence for breaching bail conditions, on the condition that he would not be extradited to the US after serving his sentence. The lawyer also made it clear that this was a "crucial" condition on Assange's part.
Since June 2012, Mr. Assange, 47 years old, an Australian citizen, has been living as a refugee in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London to avoid being extradited to Sweden for trial on charges of sexual assault.

A US Justice Department spokesman announced on October 27 that a suspect had been arrested in connection with 12 suspicious packages and pipe bombs sent to critics of President Donald Trump, including former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
DNA, fingerprints and cellphone signals led authorities to a south Florida parking lot and arrested Cesar Sayoc, 56, on October 26.
Former Malaysian Prime Minister has royal title revoked

The Star news agency reported on October 27 that the Royal Household of Negri Sembilan state (Malaysia) has revoked the title of Datuk Seri of former Prime Minister Najib Razak and the title of Datin Seri of Ms. Rosmah Mansor - Mr. Najib's wife, due to their involvement in legal issues, including corruption and money laundering. Mr. Najib was awarded the above title in 2005, while his wife was awarded the title in 2006.
Due to the influence of Indian and British culture, titles are highly respected in Malaysia. In the federal title system in this country, the title of Tun is at the top, reserved for those who have made outstanding contributions, followed by Tan Sri and Datuk.
