Preparing planes and plans to bring Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine back home
Airlines are responsible for reporting plans to operate flights to bring Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine back home due to tensions in Russia and Ukraine.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways... requesting them to prepare resources (aircraft, pilots, flight attendants) and develop plans to operate flights to bring Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine back home.
The document signed by Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Dinh Viet Son requires airlines to be responsible for reporting their operation plans to the Civil Aviation Authority before March 2, 2022.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will notify airlines about the implementation of the above flights when directed by the Government and the Ministry of Transport.
Up to now, Bamboo Airways has announced that it has fully prepared plans to transport Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine back home according to instructions from authorities.
According to Ms. Huong Tran Kieu Dung - Permanent Vice President of FLC and Vice President of Bamboo Airways, when the first armed conflicts broke out in Ukraine, Bamboo Airways had planned to participate in transporting Vietnamese citizens back home as soon as there were instructions and assignments from the Government and ministries, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
This work continues to be urgently promoted after the Prime Minister's telegram on the protection of Vietnamese citizens and legal entities and some issues to note in light of the situation in Ukraine was issued on February 26.
Previously, in the Official Dispatch sent to Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on the protection of Vietnamese citizens in Ukraine, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the armed conflict in Ukraine is developing complicatedly, directly threatening the safety of lives and property of people and businesses, including about 7,000 Vietnamese people residing there.
The Prime Minister directed relevant ministries and branches to carefully prepare necessary plans, in which the Ministry of Transport was asked to direct airlines to prepare plans to bring Vietnamese people and their family members from Ukraine back home./.
