Congratulations to former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam on receiving the ASEAN People's Award

(Baonghean.vn) - The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi and the Hong Lam Outstanding Businessmen Association of Hanoi City recently held a meeting to congratulate former Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cam on being awarded the ASEAN People's Award 2015 on November 21 in Malaysia.

This is an activity within the framework of the 27th ASEAN Summit recently held in Kuala Lumpur.

The award aims to honor citizens/organizations that have made outstanding achievements and contributions to the cause of community building, economic, socio-cultural development and improving the lives of ASEAN people.

To the politicians, public opinion and people in ASEAN, former Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam is a talented politician and diplomat of Vietnam, playing an important role in the process of Vietnam joining ASEAN in 1995 as well as making many contributions to the process of ASEAN association and integration.

After leaving his position, former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam continued to actively participate in ASEAN activities, including as Vietnam's representative in the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) drafting the ASEAN Charter.

Currently, former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam is Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi.

Nghe An Association and Hong Lam Outstanding Businessmen Association of Hanoi congratulate comrade Nguyen Manh Cam.

On behalf of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi, Mr. Ho Xuan Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Association gave a deeply touching speech about the outstanding contributions of the former Deputy Prime Minister to the ASEAN community, the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and especially to the Nghe An Association in Hanoi.
