What dangerous functions on Android smartphones should be disabled urgently?
Information security expert Zak Doffman warns Android smartphone users about the threat posed by one of the device's functions, according to Forbes.
Dangerous loophole
This is a vulnerability in the Notification Listener Service that allows malicious applications to read the content of notifications on the phone.
If a hacker gains access to this functionality, they could copy one-time authorization codes from notifications – for example, in WhatsApp and other services. Additionally, malicious apps could reply to messages, sending contacts links to fake pages designed to steal personal data, such as bank card details.

How to protect yourself?
Experts recommend checking exactly which applications have access to notifications on your smartphone. This can be done in the "Settings - Apps & notifications - Advanced - Special access - Notification access" section. If you see that unknown applications can read notifications, this function should be urgently disabled.
