(Baonghean)This year's National Lotus Village Festival is taking place in Nghe An, with the Lotus Village Singing Festival program attracting the participation of hundreds of performers from 20 amateur art troupes from provinces and cities across the country.

Reporters from Nghe An Newspaper recorded the thoughts and feelings of actors and artists from various troupes.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Dinh(Head of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial National Cultural and Arts Delegation):

This is the third time the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Performing Arts Troupe has participated in the National Lotus Village Singing Festival. It can be said that Hue is also President Ho Chi Minh's second home, a place where Nguyen Sinh Cung spent ten years of his childhood. Hue is also where his mother, Hoang Thi Loan, breathed her last. It is these sacred feelings that make the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Performing Arts Troupe feel honored and proud to reunite in President Ho Chi Minh's birthplace every year. With the theme "Uncle Ho, a boundless love," we hope our program will contribute a small part to the success of this year's National Lotus Village Singing Festival.

Actress Kim Luong(Cham ethnic group - Binh Thuan National Cultural and Arts Group):

“I’ve sung about Uncle Ho, participated in art programs about him many times… And each time I’m deeply moved. Every time I sing a song praising Uncle Ho, I realize I need to try harder, strive more, and learn from and follow his moral example and simple lifestyle. Being able to offer my songs and music to him, to celebrate his birthday, is a source of pride for me – a child of the Cham people…”

Actress Le Thuy(Hanoi Giang Provincial Arts and Culture Troupe):

“This is the second time I've participated in the Lotus Village Singing Festival. The Ha Giang Arts and Culture Troupe's program has 8 performances, and I participated in performing and staging 5 of them. My main job is a music teacher at Thanh Thuy Secondary School in the mountainous region (Vi Xuyen district), but when invited to participate in the art program commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, I tried my best to arrange my work, actively participate in staging and rehearsals... to create the best and most effective program. It is a gift, an artistic flower that the people of Ha Giang in particular, and the whole country in general, respectfully offer to Him...”

Composer Mai Cong Thang(Head of the Ninh Binh Provincial National Cultural and Arts Delegation):

Returning to President Ho Chi Minh's hometown is an opportunity for the Ninh Binh Arts and Culture Troupe to learn more about the land and people of Nghe An province, thereby expressing more profoundly the essence and character of Ho Chi Minh. The Ninh Binh Troupe's program, themed "Returning to Lang Sen Village," expresses their boundless love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh. Participating in the Lang Sen Singing Festival for the fifth time, the Ninh Binh Troupe hopes to leave a positive impression on the people of President Ho Chi Minh's hometown…

Ms. Trinh Thi Kim Dung(Head of the National Cultural and Arts Delegation, Ho Chi Minh City):

The Ho Chi Minh City National Performing Arts Troupe presented a program themed: "Songs from the City Named After Uncle Ho." Everyone felt honored and proud to participate in the performance commemorating Uncle Ho's birthday in his hometown. Uncle Ho will always be in the hearts of the people of Southern Vietnam. Returning to Uncle Ho's hometown this May, we, like the people of the whole country, remember him with unceasing remembrance. Each troupe here will be a lotus petal in a lotus flower offered to our beloved Uncle Ho.
