Final round of the Nghe An Province High School and University Student English Olympic Competition
On the morning of September 28th, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized the Final Round of the Nghe An Provincial English Olympic Competition for students in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Attending the program were Comrade Tran Linh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Provincial Student Association; members of the Provincial Student Association Secretariat, Standing Committee, district-level Youth Union officials, and the participation of 6 outstanding contestants from Nam Dan district and Vinh University.
CompetitionEnglish OlympicsThe English language training program for students in Nghe An province during the 2023-2024 academic year was organized with the aim of creating an effective learning environment and improving English language skills for students in colleges, universities, high schools, and vocational training centers/continuing education centers in the province.
At the same time, it creates a healthy, widespread, and inspiring environment for learning, practicing, and using English.high school students, students from non-English-specialized schools.
After the online qualifying round, the organizing committee selected the 8 best contestants from the university and high school categories to participate in the final round. However, due to health reasons, only 6 contestants from Vinh University and Nam Dan 2 High School, Nam Dan district, participated in the final round.
Final RoundCompetitionThe competition is held in person, with contestants presenting on their chosen topics. Each contestant has a maximum of 7 minutes to present on their chosen topic, followed by a question-and-answer session with the judging panel. The maximum score for the presentation is 100 points. The Organizing Committee will select contestants with scores above 70 points to award First, Second, Third, and Consolation prizes for each category.
In the final results, in the student category, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to contestant Hoang Thi Nhu Y; second prize to contestant Nguyen Viet Ha and third prize to contestant Dau Thi Mo.
In the student category, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to contestant Vo Nguyen Cuong Loc; second prize to contestant Dang Dinh Phu and third prize to contestant Tu Thanh Van.
