(Baonghean.vn) - The whole province has 17 communes and 3 villages of 14 districts, towns and cities participating in the final round of the contest of beautiful new rural communes and beautiful new rural villages of Nghe An province in 2018.

Based on the results of the contest for beautiful new rural communes in localities, the whole province has 17 communes and 3 villages and hamlets of 14 districts, towns and cities selected to participate in the final round of the contest for beautiful new rural communes and beautiful new rural villages and hamlets of Nghe An province in 2018.

Previously, the contest's jury organized a practical exam in 17 communes of 14 districts, towns and cities in the province. In the final round, the participating units will go through 2 rounds: reportage and presentation.

The first prize winner of the 2018 beautiful new rural commune in Nghe An province will be awarded 1 billion VND/commune by the Provincial People's Committee; the first prize winner of the beautiful new rural village will be awarded 300 million VND/village by the province.

Speaking at the contest, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Deputy Organizing Committee of the contest emphasized: Through this contest, we aim to discover and honor typical communes and villages in the movement to build new rural areas, creating motivation to promote and encourage the movement to build new rural areas. From there, select beautiful new rural communes, villages and hamlets as models, creating a solid foundation for maintaining and improving the quality of new rural criteria in other localities.
The results and awards ceremony will take place tonight (January 19).
