Attending the final night were comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Jury; 15 contestants selected from 31 outstanding faces through the preliminary round. |
The National Television Singing Festival - Sao Mai Award is held every two years. In 2017, the festival marked its 20th anniversary with 10 seasons.
This year's Festival has 31 contestants from 10 provinces and cities: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Gia Lai. These are contestants who have excellently passed the preliminary round in the Central Highlands region, organized by the Radio and Television Stations of the provinces and cities.

The final round of Sao Mai 2017 in the Central Highlands region kicked off in Vinh City on August 10. After 3 preliminary rounds, the jury selected 15 outstanding candidates to attend the final night.

In the final night, the contestants competed in 3 music genres: Classical Chamber Music, Folk Music and Light Music. A notable new point at Sao Mai 2017 is the special entry rule into the Regional Finals for contestants who won the Promising Prize and contestants who made it into the top 9 of Sao Mai 2015. Therefore, this year's Central Highlands Regional Festival has 2 contestants: Dau Thanh Tai in Folk Music and Bui Thi Cam Huyen in Chamber Music who were given special entry into the Finals.

At the final night, the Organizing Committee selected 9 outstanding faces representing 3 styles to participate in the 2017 National Sao Mai final.

At the end of the final night, the Organizing Committee awarded First Prize to 3 contestants:
Chamber Music - Classical: Hoang Thi Lan Anh - Quang Binh Group with the work Waterwheel - Hoang Van;
Folk music: Duong Linh Tuyet - Ha Tinh with the work Buddha's light shines;
Light music: Le Thuy Anh - Thanh Hoa with the work Impossible and Possible by Pho Duc Phuong.

In addition to the 3 contestants with the highest scores in the competition night, the Organizing Committee will continue to vote and select the next 6 contestants in all 3 styles to participate in the final round of the National Television Singing Festival Sao Mai Award 2017, scheduled to be held in August 2017 in Thanh Hoa./.
