Special art program closing the 2023 Lotus Village Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of May 19, at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City (Nghe An), a special art program took place to close the 2023 Lotus Village Festival with the theme: From Lotus Village to Ho Chi Minh City, jointly organized by Nghe An province and Ho Chi Minh City.

Delegates from the Lao PDR included Lieutenant General Vong Son - In Phan Phim - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Special Work Committee of Xay Som Bun province; Phu Vong - Bun Xu - Deputy Governor, Head of the Special Work Committee of Vientiane province; Khan Thoong Vong Am Kha - Political Commissar of the Military Command, Deputy Head of the Special Work Committee of Xieng Khouang province.
Delegates from Ho Chi Minh City included Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Member of the City Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, along with leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa and Binh Phuoc provinces.

The art program consists of 3 parts: May returns to the Sen Village Festival; The South is forever in His heart; Flying up to the Vietnamese lotus petals, with the participation of many famous artists and thousands of professional and non-professional actors, portraying the image of the outstanding son of the Vietnamese people, leaving the Sen Village space to the day the country was reunited and Vietnam in the context of integration; has closed a successful Sen Village Festival season with many innovations.
The 2023 Lotus Village Festival takes place from May 12 to 19 with many exciting and meaningful activities concentrated in Vinh city, Nam Dan district and Cua Lo town. The opening program on the evening of May 12 was truly a beautiful song, honoring "Mother of Lotus Village", the mother who gave birth to the Vietnamese people a genius leader who devoted his whole life to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

The 2023 Lotus Village Festival held a series of meaningful source-returning activities, attracting many researchers and visitors.
With more than 200 photos and documents on display, the thematic exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Portrait of a man" at Ho Chi Minh Square sketched the portrait, life, career and personality of Ho Chi Minh.
Through that, introduce to international friends the image of a great leader, devoted to selflessness, perseverance, indomitable for the revolutionary cause of the nation, very charitable, honest, simple in daily life. His noble personality is a shining example for the Vietnamese people to learn, so that each person, when returning to the common homeland, will once again understand and be proud of the revolutionary path and cultural personality of Ho Chi Minh.

The 2023 Lotus Village Singing Festival has 21 mass art teams, with more than 600 artisans, actors, and musicians from districts, cities, and towns across the province participating.
With the theme "His words, the words of the country", the performances participating in the Festival focused on praising President Ho Chi Minh and the Sen Village Festival; praising the Party, homeland, country and the renovation process; praising the solidarity of ethnic groups; praising cultural life, labor, production associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life, build new countryside"...
Through the Lotus Village Singing Festival at all levels, the cultural and artistic movements and artistic creativity have continued to be fostered and strongly developed; contributing to preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values, improving the spiritual life of the people, continuing the goal of building a culture imbued with national identity.

The highlight of the 2023 Lotus Village Festival is the cooperation between Nghe An province and other provinces, such as the cooperation with Thanh Hoa province to display "Thanh Hoa province's cultural space in his homeland", and the cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City to stage the largest-scale art program ever: "From Lotus Village to Ho Chi Minh City" in the Closing Ceremony on May 19.
Along with traditional cultural and sports activities, the 2023 Lotus Village Festival has been developed according to the trend of cultural and tourism festivals. Visitors can immerse themselves in the street space of "Lotus blooming homeland" which was held for the first time with the participation of more than 600 extras from districts, cities and towns in the province and neighboring Thanh Hoa province.

With 3 parts: "Sparkling soul of Nghe An homeland", "Convergence of lotus scent" and "Cultural colors", at the street festival, people enjoyed many performances of traditional art forms such as: Tuong, Vi and Giam folk songs, folk songs of ethnic minorities in Nghe An province; discovered unique cultural activities such as Mong flute dance, performance of Xang Khan ceremony of Thai people, New Year's thunder welcoming ceremony of O Du people, Xuan Pha performance of Thanh Hoa province...
