Taiwanese model dies from suffocation while taking underwater photos

Authorities are investigating the cause of Co Tu Du's drowning while working with his crew.

Ettoday reported that model Gu Siyu drowned while taking photos at a marina in Taiwan on May 15. She was rushed to the hospital by her crew but could not be saved. The specific cause is pending the results of the investigation.

Gu Siyu and the photographer worked under the guidance of a professional diver. When she went underwater, she wore a scuba tank. The staff helped the model remove the tank so she could take the photo. During the photo shoot, the model drowned.

A friend of Gu Siyu said that the model loved diving and had experience in scuba diving. She did not expect such an incident to happen to her friend.

Gu Siyu is 25 years old this year, 1.80 m tall. She is married and has a four-year-old daughter.
