(Baonghean.vn) - Yearbook photos of students are often a hot topic on the internet because of their uniqueness, grandeur, or even strangeness and expense. There are many conflicting opinions surrounding this issue.

Nguyen Van Anh, student at Huynh Thuc Khang High School:

As a girl, I and many other friends want to record the most beautiful images of our school days because just taking photos of all the members in the class is too boring.

For our class to take yearbook photos, each student had to pay 250,000 VND - this was just for the photographer. The rest had to be spent on makeup, accessories, clothes, etc. Each person had to invest about 500,000 VND for yearbook photos. But compared to the other classes in our grade 12 class, this price was the least "expensive".

Nguyen Minh Tuan, Nam Dan 1 High School:

I think taking yearbook photos is expensive, time-consuming, and laborious. It also causes disunity in the class. For example, my class, just choosing the price of the photo shoot, divided the class into two "factions". One side is the students whose families do not have the means, so they want to take photos at an affordable price, the more economical the better. The other side wants the photos to be beautiful, even if they are expensive. When they reach an agreement and take the photos, they argue again. The reason is that some students are disappointed with the quality of the photos.

If there is such a conflict and discord in the yearbook photo shoot, it would be better not to take it. Instead of worrying about such things, you should focus on studying for your university entrance exams!

Mr. Le Canh Tan, Hung Trung commune, Hung Nguyen:

We are farmers and are raising two children, one in grade 12 at Nguyen Truong To High School and the other in year 3 at Vinh University. Early this April, my youngest son asked his parents for 180,000 VND to pay for his graduation photo.

I still give my grandchild money even though I don’t know how they took the photos that cost 3 or 4 yen of rice. A few years ago, my grandchild took his senior photos and it only cost him a few tens of thousands of dong. I just hope that in addition to participating in class activities, he will study hard so that he can pass the university entrance exam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Hoa, teacher at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted:

Recently, there have been many yearbook photo albums with huge investments in both money and time, which I think are not suitable for students, especially seniors. This is the time for intensive review, with less than 2 months left before the university entrance exam. Students should spend time reviewing. If you take yearbook photos, organize them simply to save time and money for your parents.

You Le Thu Anh, Trung Do, Vinh City:

Last March, my class took a yearbook photo and I went to see it. It was raining but they still took the whole afternoon, even rented bachelor’s clothes and university diplomas as props for the photo shoot. I found it a bit funny because they were only in 12th grade.

My brother also told me that the class did not only take one photo session but organized 2 or 3 sessions, some in the city and some in other districts. Some friends, including my brother, objected to the flashy and time-consuming photo sessions, so they did not participate in the following photo sessions and were "condemned" by their classmates as "selfish and not sacrificing for the collective".

I think your point of view is wrong. Does the homeroom teacher know about this and has she given any feedback to the class?
