During 7 days, from October 14 to 21, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made a trip of "3 destinations with 6 goals" including a continuous working program that mostly ended late at night.
On the morning of October 21, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife, along with the Vietnamese delegation, returned to Hanoi, successfully concluding their working trip to Europe: attending the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit, the Partnership for Global Green Growth Goals (P4G) Summit, and officially visiting the Republic of Austria, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of Denmark, and visiting and working at the European Union.

During 7 days, from October 14 to 21, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made a trip of “3 destinations with 6 goals” including a continuous working program, most of which ended late at night with 69 multilateral and bilateral activities, within the framework of 2 major international conferences, working with the European Commission (EC) and visiting 3 important partner countries of Vietnam in Europe.
Attending the 12th ASEM Conference in Belgium, a large-scale global multilateral conference with the participation of 43 heads of state and 10 national leaders, the President of the European Council invited Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to deliver an introductory speech at the plenary session on “Strengthening the multilateral system: Promoting ASEM partnership to respond to global challenges”. The Prime Minister made a number of highly appreciated proposals, such as ASEM needs to take the lead in promoting multilateral cooperation, maintaining the international order based on rules and responding to global challenges, and taking the lead in implementing commitments on responding to climate change and natural disasters.
After two days of intensive work, on the afternoon of October 19, the 12th ASEM Conference ended successfully with the adoption of the Chairman's Statement, affirming the determination of ASEM members to strengthen the Asia-Europe partnership to respond to global challenges, while also setting out directions to enhance ASEM cooperation in the coming time.
Ahead of the 12th ASEM Conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg were invited to deliver keynote speeches at the 12th Asia-Europe Business Forum (AEBF), the first official event of the 12th ASEM Conference.
Attending the first P4G Conference in Denmark, as one of the founding countries of the P4G Forum, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a strong message about the importance of strengthening international cooperation in implementing global green growth goals by 2030. Vietnam is ready to step up cooperation to implement the Forum's initiatives on promoting public-private partnership (PPP) projects in green growth, especially in energy saving and renewable energy, agriculture, water resources, smart urban development, circular economy, etc.
During his first official visit to Austria, Belgium, Denmark and a working visit to the EU, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had important talks with the Prime Ministers of the three countries and the President of the European Commission, which, according to the Prime Minister, will help create new miracles in cooperation. Under the Prime Minister's witness, Vietnam, the three countries and the EU signed 30 documents and cooperation agreements in many fields, including documents signed after the talks and at business forums./.
