In which, solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of state management work onhydrometeorologyBy 2030, the province will achieve advanced science and technology, with rapid and sustainable development steps based on strong application of science and technology, associated with ensuring requirements for socio-economic development, natural disaster prevention, climate change adaptation, and ensuring national defense and security of Nghe An province.

Timely hydrometeorological forecasting and warning, ensuring reliability
The plan aims at specific goals: Strengthening state management of meteorology and hydrology for the province's network of hydrometeorological stations, related organizations and individuals; building a professional, qualified and quality human resource to perform hydrometeorological work in the province.
Along with that, research on building databases, implementing digital transformation, modernizing hydrometeorological monitoring technology; monitoring and supervising natural disasters, forecasting and warning hydrometeorological situations in a timely manner, ensuring reliability; strengthening international cooperation in hydrometeorological research...
Modernization of Hydrometeorology
To achieve the set goals, the Provincial People's Committee assigns specific tasks to each relevant sector, locality and unit.
In which, deliveryDepartment of Natural Resources and EnvironmentPreside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and sectors to organize propaganda and dissemination of information, knowledge and legal documents on hydrometeorology and climate change.
In coordination with the North Central Region Hydrometeorological Station,Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defenseand related units inspect the organization of monitoring, providing information and data on hydrometeorological monitoring for projects that must monitor hydrometeorology according to the provisions of law in the province.
Modernize the system of natural disaster observation, monitoring and supervision; modernize technology for forecasting, warning and transmitting hydrometeorological information; study and propose investment in the construction of hydrometeorological observation stations to serve hydrometeorological forecasting and warning work and natural disaster prevention and control work of the province.
At the same time, preside over and coordinate withDepartment of Information and Communications, organizations and individuals with sufficient capacity to organize research, apply digital technology, automation in monitoring, data information and forecasting, hydrometeorological warning to serve natural disaster prevention, socio-economic development, national security and defense...
Coordinate with relevant units to promote international cooperation, mobilize capital and technology from advanced countries to accelerate the modernization of forecasting technology and hydrometeorological monitoring network in the province.
Department of Agriculture and Rural DevelopmentDirecting the increase of investment and management of specialized hydrometeorological activities in the fields under the state management of the Department; coordinating with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to guide agencies, organizations and individuals operating in the field of Agriculture and Rural Development to exploit and use information, data, forecasts and warnings of hydrometeorology and climate change scenarios in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and Vinh city to base on the content of the Plan to implement tasks, programs and projects within the scope and responsibility of the sector and locality. Annually, report on the implementation status to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment before November 30./.
