Expert: IS's top leader may be hiding in Africa
IraqiNews online newspaper on January 10 quoted the opinion of a number of terrorism experts that the supreme leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is likely in Africa, which is considered the safest place for this terrorist organization at the present time.

Analyst Sameh Eid, an expert on Islamist militant issues in Egypt, said that Baghdadi was most likely in Africa, after IS members fled Iraq and Syria.
According to Mr. Eid, Africa is currently the biggest battlefield that IS is trying to penetrate to reach Egypt.
This expert believes that Africa really needs the help of intelligence to track Baghdadi's movements in Africa.
In addition, Libyan expert Nasser al-Hawari commented that the IS terrorist group is trying to build the largest number of terrorist networks in Libya, Chad, Niger and Sudan.
According to Mr. Hawari, tensions in some African countries will help IS recruit more members, especially in countries with conflicts.
