Transfer of technology 'Treatment of paralysis due to stroke' to Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 9, Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital received the technical transfer package "Treatment of sequelae of paralysis due to cerebrovascular accident" from the Central Acupuncture Hospital under Project 1816.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Acupuncture Hospital, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thanh - Director of the Hospital; Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc - Deputy Director of the Hospital; Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Tuyen - Director of the Vietnam Acupuncture High-Technology Center and specialized doctors participating in the training.

Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospitalis a provincial-level specialized hospital of traditional medicine; with a planned scale of 450 beds, operating under the autonomous mechanism of group II Decree 85/2012/ND-CP. In recent years, the hospital has undergone a strong transformation, recognized by the government and the people. At its peak, the hospital received nearly 1,200 inpatients.

Right at the reception ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thanh - Director of the Central Acupuncture Hospital instructed on the theory and process of electroacupuncture to treat paralysis caused by cerebrovascular accident and directly demonstrated the technique of large-intestine acupuncture, how to use large needles, long needles to pierce meridians and acupoints in the treatment of paralysis and sequelae of cerebrovascular accident on patients being treated at Nghe An Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital.
