V.League 2025/26 Transfers: Unprecedented Race
Transfer records are constantly being broken, quality players are arriving at V.League, these are the things that promise an exciting season.
Right after former U23 Australia player Stefan Mauk unexpectedly joined Hanoi Police, the transfer marketV.Leaguecontinues to heat up every day with a series of "blockbuster" deals. Among them, the most prominent are contracts with record transfer values, showing the growing ambitions of the league's top teams.
That record contract belongs to Ho Chi Minh City Police with the successful recruitment of center back Matheus Felipe from Atlético Clube Goianiense (Brazil). Valued at up to 1 million Euros, the center back born in 1998 is currently the most expensive player in V.League, surpassing many other famous names that have appeared in the history of the tournament.

Not only Matheus Felipe, another teammate of his at Atlético Clube Goianiense, Willian Maranhão, will also join the V.League. This player, who is valued at 900,000 Euros, has reached an agreement to join the Hanoi Club, helping the capital team complete its framework to be ready to conquer the new season.
Meanwhile, Nam Dinh Steel Blue also caused a stir in the Vietnamese football world when it brought in Njabulo Blom from St. Louis CITY – a team in the US Major League Soccer (MLS). This former South African player is valued at 950,000 Euros, one of the most notable foreign contracts in the V.League to date.
It doesn't stop there,Nam Dinh Green Steelalso spent a lot of money to bring in Mahmoud Eid, a Palestinian national player, with a valuation of 600,000 Euros. With quality additions in both midfield and attack, the team from Thanh Nam is showing clear ambition in competing for titles this season.

Not to be outdone, Hanoi Police – the team that will participate in 5 tournaments next season – has also prepared very carefully in terms of personnel. In addition to Stefan Mauk (650,000 Euro), the Police team also recruited Rogerio Alves dos Santos – a winger worth 400,000 Euro, and Vietnamese-American central defender Leygley Adou Minh.
Notably, this team has also completed the recruitment of young talent of Vietnamese origin Brandon Ly from Burnley youth team (England). This contract is an investment for the future, at the same time helping Hanoi Police have more personnel options for tournaments throughout the season.
If foreign players are the highlight of the transfer season, domestic players are not inferior in terms of "heat". The most surprising one is probably Ninh Binh Club, when they successfully recruited midfielder Chung Nguyen Do from Slavia Sofia - a team in the Bulgarian national championship.
The presence of Chung Nguyen Do not only helps to improve the quality of the midfield of the rookie team, but also brings a new option to the Vietnam National Team. Along with that, Ninh Binh also signed contracts with 2 national players, Nguyen Duc Chien and Chau Ngoc Quang, making coach Gerard Albadalejo's squad more formidable than ever.
Also this summer, deals such as Que Ngoc Hai joining Dong A Thanh Hoa, or Nguyen Tien Linh joining Ho Chi Minh City Police, are all contracts that cost a lot of transfer fees. These experienced names are expected to make a difference in the fiercely competitive stage of the season.

Another notable trend in this year's transfer season is that clubs are actively recruiting foreign players who are eligible for naturalization. This is not only a way to improve professional quality, but also helps teams to take advantage of the same playing position as domestic players in the future.
Hanoi FC were among the pioneers, signing midfielder Hêndrio Araújo, who had previously excelled in the V.League. Similarly, SHB Da Nang brought in centre-back Gustavo Santos, while Ninh Binh FC brought in the duo of Janclésio Almeida and Geovane Magno – players with high professional quality and rich experience in the V.League.
The V.League transfer market has never been so vibrant and high-quality. Clubs from rookies to big names are rushing to "arm" for2025/2026 season, where competition is expected to be fiercer than ever.
With the appearance of a series of expensive contracts, both domestic and foreign players, fans can fully expect an attractive, quality and most competitive season in the history of V.League.
