Free meals were handed out to many students by Que Phong High School. This is the heart of teachers and philanthropists in the area with the simple wish that students and parents can have delicious, safe meals and have a successful exam.

Since the end of May, after the end of the school year, the 12th grade students of Que Phong High School have maintained normal studying.

This is partly to consolidate knowledge and review for students. This is also a way for schools to “retain” students until the exam day, avoiding the situation of students dropping out and not returning to school.

In recent days, while many schools only teach and review during the day, at Que Phong High School, the lights are still on at night. Accompanying the students are teachers, volunteers who teach hundreds of free extra lessons for the students.

Que Phong High Schoollocated in a difficult mountainous area of Nghe An. Only a few students at the school come from the town area or neighboring communes and can commute to and from there every day. The rest of the students come from far away and mostly stay in local houses because the school does not have a policy for boarding students.

On normal days, students go to school, cook for themselves or eat "street food" near the school. However, on exam days, due to the close exam schedules, the school is concerned that students will not be able to eat outside, so every exam season, the school plans to organize free meals for students. Also because of the distance and difficult travel conditions, the number of students whose parents come to the exam site with their children before the exam day can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

In order for the program to be implemented smoothly, nearly a week before the exam, Ms. Dau Thi Huong's house (Bac Son block, Kim Son town) became a "gathering" place for food and drinks and was chosen as a place to cook free meals for students.

Participating in this activity, in addition to the school's teachers, there were also union members and youth in the area. Teacher Lu Thi Hien - a teacher at Que Phong High School shared: This morning we woke up at 3am to start preparing lunch ingredients and arranging cakes and milk for the candidates to be on time for the morning exam. The work was quite busy but we felt very happy and joyful.

To provide enough nutrition for students, today's lunch menu includes fried chicken, caramelized meat, stir-fried vegetables, and sweet flower soup cooked with minced meat. All are packaged, portioned carefully, and ensure food safety.

Teacher Ngo Chien Thang - former Chairman of the school's union, said: Previously, these activities were all organized by the school's union. This year, although the school's union has just been dissolved, teachers in the school still volunteer to participate because this is a practical activity, effectively supporting the school's students. In addition, we have also called on agencies, units, businesses, and volunteer organizations to support 360 free meals for the candidates.

During the implementation process, we also received enthusiastic support from parents, many of whom actively participated in cooking together. Our joy was that the children all praised the delicious meal and after finishing the first examLiterature, students have more motivation to continue conquering other subjects and successfully finish.
