Interesting and never-before-revealed stories of MC Lai Van Sam

September 15, 2017 09:16

The famous MC shared the story about his grandson for the first time on the Morning Coffee program with VTV3.

This is the first time he has hosted the show Little Sun with children as the audience, but the famous MC did not think it was a challenge. On the contrary, he saw it as an opportunity to work with an audience he had never worked with before.

Furthermore, MC Lai Van Sam envisioned and wished that when he retired, he would do programs with children and not with adults anymore. But what made him most worried and anxious was how to address the children.

"Some kids call me uncle, others call me aunt. I say it's okay to call me friend, because I believe that when you're on TV, everyone is a friend, small friend, big friend, it's that simple. No kid has ever called me grandpa, they don't even call me anything, they just say their name is Lai Van Sam and then shake hands to say hello. I've tried but no kid has ever dared to call me brother," Lai Van Sam humorously shared.

MC Little Sun shared that the children participating in the program are very well-behaved and obedient to their parents. Even though they are very active and mischievous, they jump down while talking to the MC and turn their backs to the camera and the audience. No one can speak, but when their parents speak, they still listen.

Regarding the issue of parental influence on the formation of personality and confidence in young children, the famous MC expressed the opinion that, for normal children, confidence often comes from the influence of adults. Typically, if living in a family where parents are always strict about everything, always 'not allowed', then surely the child will think the same and lose confidence. Therefore, let children develop freely because they know where their abilities lie.

On that occasion, the MC of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' also related a story about his grandson: "My grandson really likes to drink coffee but his parents forbid him from drinking it. When he came up from the swimming pool, I immediately asked: 'Do you want to try it?' He said yes. But when he brought it to his mouth to drink, his eyes widened and he looked around because he was afraid his parents would see. That moment was so beautiful and I took it as his profile picture because it was so vivid, at that time he could be himself. After that time, he no longer liked to drink coffee because it was bitter. So why ban it? That's why the influence of adults has a great influence on the formation of personality and confidence in children."
