Charges transferred against former Acting Head of Policy Department of Nghe An Province's Ethnic Minorities Committee

At the conference, delegates listened to and reported on the handling of cases related to their departments and branches, and proposed solutions to speed up the handling and implementation of the December work plan.
Accordingly, many violations that have attracted public attention in recent times have been basically completed, such as the case related to the drainage canal of Nghi Van commune, the case of complaints about the execution of judgments in Quynh Luu district... Regarding the case related to the implementation of the socio-economic support project for the O Du ethnic minority in Tuong Duong district, representatives of the Provincial People's Procuracy and the Provincial Police said that there has been a decision to transfer the charge of prosecution againstNguyen Tam Long - former Acting Head of Ethnic Policy Department(Nghe An Province Ethnic Minorities Committee) from the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences" to the crime of "Embezzlement of property".

Previously, on July 31, 2020, the Economic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police said: During the investigation to expand the case of "Asset embezzlement" occurring at the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province, on July 30, 2020, the Investigation Police Agency (Nghe An Provincial Police) issued decisions to supplement the criminal case of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences",prosecuteThe defendant is Nguyen Tam Long (born in 1974), residing in Hoa Tien hamlet, Hung Loc commune (Vinh city) - Acting Head of the Ethnic Policy Department (Ethnic Committee of Nghe An province) for the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".
At the conference, the chairman also requested that relevant departments, branches and units in the coming time need to coordinate more closely to resolve complicated and prolonged cases and in the months leading up to Tet, focus on fighting and preventing crimes related to fireworks, bank robberies, murder, property robbery, drugs, and take measures to curb traffic accidents...
Regarding the regulations on the use of non-explosive fireworks, the conference requested that the agencies implementing inspection and control do a good job of disseminating information about Decree 137 (what are non-explosive fireworks, licensed establishments for production and trading, etc.) and mobilizing people to strictly comply with related regulations, combined with strengthening state management work on this issue. Increase inspection and control of the market to prevent and combat smuggled and poor quality goods.

For some specific cases, it is recommended that departments and branches advise the Provincial People's Committee and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for early handling. In December, the departments prepare to organize the development and implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the action program to implement the Congress resolution. Review and develop the program and work plan for 2021.
Previously, the report at the conference said that in November 2020, there were 70 cases of crimes against social order, killing 1 person and injuring 20 others, causing property damage of about 640 million VND. Drug crimes were detected and arrested in 68 cases, 98 subjects, and nearly 8.38 kg of heroin, 42 kg and 83,916 synthetic drug pills, and more than 16 kg of crystal meth. Regarding crimes and violations of the law on economic and environmental management order, 203 cases, 211 subjects were detected, and nearly 675 kg of fireworks, 150 m3wood of various types and 1.5 tons of animals. (typically, Nghi Loc police arrested a case of transporting 161 kg of various types of firecrackers).
During the month, the provincial inspectorate conducted 40 socio-economic inspections at 62 units. Through administrative inspections, 11/62 units were found to have violated with a total amount of over 1.5 billion VND; recommended to recover 808 million VND to the budget, and recommended another 764 million VND. Specialized inspectors conducted 57 inspections of 44 organizations and 772 individuals, mainly in the fields of transportation and environment. Thereby, 17 organizations and 332 individuals were found to have violated, and fined over 1 billion VND.
